Description We are on the lookout for a Systems Security Administrator based in New York, New York, 10106, United States. This position offers a long term contract employment opportunity in the tech industry where you will be primarily responsible for managing system security, responding to customer tickets, and setting up systems for new hires.

Responsibilities:

• Administer system security measures including access control and firewall technologies.

• Handle customer tickets with efficiency and accuracy.

• Set up systems for new hires, ensuring all necessary software and hardware are properly configured.

• Proactively manage and monitor customer accounts, initiating appropriate action when required.

• Deploy new laptops, maintaining a balance of Windows and Mac systems.

• Spearhead the transition towards a zero touch deployment model.

• Utilize your skills in Cisco Technologies, IDS, IPS, Active Directory, Auditing, Authentication, and Configuration Management.

• Adapt to changes in ticketing systems, maintaining the same level of service regardless of the platform used.

• Undertake ad hoc system administration tasks as and when required.

• Maintain a manual process for laptop setup while exploring more efficient methods. Requirements • Proven experience in Access Control, demonstrating the ability to manage permissions and access to information.

• Proficient in Cisco Technologies, with the capability to configure and troubleshoot Cisco systems.

• Knowledge of Firewall Technologies, including the ability to implement and maintain firewall systems.

• Familiarity with Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), with a focus on identifying and preventing potential security breaches.

• Competence in managing Active Directory, including user and group administration.

• Proficiency in Auditing, with the ability to review systems regularly to ensure security compliance.

• Experience with Authentication processes, demonstrating knowledge in verifying user identities before granting access to systems.

• Practical understanding of Computer Hardware, with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain system hardware.

• Expertise in Configuration Management, ensuring system configurations are consistent and maintained. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
