Our client, a leading contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) based in the US, is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to join their executive team. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the development and commercialization efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and management of the CDMO and products business, aligning with the organization's mission, vision, and values.

  • Drive the CDMO and products organization to achieve and exceed productivity goals, improve cash flow, and meet all funding and regulatory requirements.

  • Lead the development of continuous performance improvement systems to ensure business goals are met.

  • Oversee the creation and implementation of the business development strategy for the CDMO business to facilitate future growth.

  • Interface with clients as needed to provide executive leadership support and represent the company at relevant conferences, trade shows, and industry panels.

  • Drive the product development process, including overseeing FDA filings, regulatory pathway strategy, and drug process development.

  • Upon regulatory approval, oversee supply chain and back-office operations for all products.

  • Collaborate with other members of the Executive Leadership team to support the development and regulatory pathways of novel drug candidates.

  • Provide timely, accurate, and complete reports on the company’s operating condition to the Board of Directors, CEO, and Executive Leadership.

  • Support and lead the development, communication, and implementation of effective growth strategies, processes, and new programs or service lines.

  • Work with the CEO and Executive Leadership to develop and implement plans for operational infrastructure, including systems, processes, and personnel to achieve strategic objectives.

  • Maintain a constant physical presence within the CDMO factory to effectively oversee operations.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in operations, preferably in a CDMO or pharmaceutical company; radiopharmaceutical experience is a plus.

  • Proven leadership experience.

  • Expertise in organizational development, personnel management, and budget and resource development.

  • Excellent people skills, with the ability to partner with an Executive Leadership team.
