  • Job Summary:

  • Responsible for helping drive continuous improvement plant-wide by assisting, training, and fabricating in the rapid prototyping of improvement ideas and developing them into cost-effective solutions and implementing in the production environment.

  • Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate tables, workstations, carts, tool stands, fixtures, ergonomic assists, safety devices, and other tools that will help improve quality, productivity, and safety.

  • Order necessary supplies, equipment, and tools needed to sustain Moonshine Shop upkeep.

  • Work with operators on improvement ideas for production process and tool creation required for safety, takt, and/or ergonomic attainment.

  • Modify and maintain any existing equipment or tools created.

  • Support RIE/Kaizen events with ideas and tangible OPEX application.

  • Provide periodic training and feedback for proper assembly or lean tools for various production departments.

  • Assist with preventive maintenance, inspections on building equipment, and testing area components.

  • Key Competencies:

  • Proficient in a wide range of fabrication and maintenance tools - saws, welders, shears, brakes, lathe, and milling machines, etc.

  • Ability to be creative, be a problem solver, and think critically.

  • Mathematical aptitude such as measuring.

  • Able to promote Lean tools and influence change.

  • Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years in a Production Environment.

  • Minimum 3 years as a welder, fabricator, or machinist.

  • Minimum 3 years of Moonshine shop, fabrication, and design experience.

  • Understand and able to communicate Lean Manufacturing practices, ie 5S, Kanban, Takt, Kaizen, and Gemba. a
