Job Summary:

  • The Material Handler will distribute either production or non-production items and materials to various locations throughout the plant. Materials may consist of purchased parts, in process parts, or finished goods.

Responsibilities:

  • Move materials with equipment to support production processes.

  • Create kits of materials to align with upcoming build schedules.

  • Remove and dispose of non-production materials such as cardboard, dunnage, scrap, trash, and pallets.

  • Track material movements into and out of controlled locations

  • Complete basic computer transactions to transact movement of materials

  • Maintains the required paperwork and documentation of all parts and materials moved in accordance with the specified procedures

  • Ensures work areas and other designated work areas are maintained in a safe and neat manner

  • Cycle Count materials

  • Organize materials for an orderly work environment

  • Moves parts or finished product and delivers mail packages to various department locations and/or warehouse locations

  • Operates various material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and rolling carts and or move items by WAVs cart and utility vehicles to and from warehouse

  • Assists with the training and instruction of new employees who may be assigned to this area

  • Supports the QMS by delivering quality products and services and meeting quality objectives

  • Works to consistently meet and exceed customer requirements

  • Continuously strives for operational excellence and continuous improvement

  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

  • Provide guidance while ensuring a safe and productive work environment

  • Stocking and arranging of product to ensure warehouse turns of inventory

  • Responsible for supporting the manufacturing process by receiving and transporting components to the manufacturing floor in accordance with predetermined safety, quality, method, and sequence standards

  • Previous experience with material handling equipment

  • Basic computer skills and basic math

  • Experience in warehouse or Manufacturing environment preferred
