Adecco is hiring immediately for CNC Programmers at our client in Newport News, VA. CNC Programmers do essential jobs with one of our premier clients, with rates starting at $34.00/hr., plus available overtime. In this role, you will program and maintain file revisions of client parts, interpret engineering blueprints to create flat pattern layouts, collaborate with client engineers, reverse engineer parts for manufacturing, and make cost-effective machine and tooling selections. You will also design and procure necessary tools, prepare detailed work instructions, and utilize CAD/CAM software to optimize run and programming times.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Minimum 3 years’ experience working with programming CNC Punch Press for Sheet Metal Fabrication

• Experience programming CNC Lasers preferred but not required

• Engineering experience/background with strong mechanical aptitude helpful

• Working knowledge of SolidWorks – must have used this for sheet metal fabrication; CAMWorks; and a computerized nesting software preferably SigmaNEST

• Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, and their applications

• Knowledge of raw materials used in sheet metal manufacturing, production processes, bend deductions, turret punch press tooling, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods

• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production & interpretation of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models, specifically for sheet metal manufacturing

• Great attention to detail

• Ability to understand G Codes including ability to write, edit and troubleshoot production and technical issues

• Ability to organize tasks in order of importance and use time most effectively to complete all work in timely manner

• Ability to work in a fast paced & customer service-oriented environment
