Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Norfolk, Virginia. This role is vital to our operations, as it involves managing vendor invoices, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and resolving related inquiries. The industry we operate in requires a meticulous approach to data entry, batch processing, and numeric filing.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the inputting of vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

• Take charge of producing weekly check runs.

• Handle the printing of checks in a timely and organized manner.

• Supervise the matching and batching of invoices, ensuring they align with our financial records.

• Manage the filing process, maintaining a structured and accessible system.

• Monitor and manage customer accounts, taking necessary actions where required.

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer credit records.

• Address and resolve customer inquiries related to Accounts Payable. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 2 years experience in an Accounts Payable Clerk position or similar role

• Demonstrated proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Excellent data entry skills with high level of accuracy and speed

• Proven experience with batch processing and ability to handle large volume of transactions

• Familiarity with numeric filing system and adept at maintaining organized records

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and accounting software

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
