Insight Global Construction Superintendent in Norfolk, Virginia

Job Description

Bering Straits Native Corporation is looking for a Superintendent (IDIQ Task Order Contract) to join their subsidiary, Stampede Ventures. The position will be fully onsite and may require work on weekends in Norfolk and Virginia Beach.

The Superintendent will be responsible for the execution of the project and will be onsite for the duration of projects. This includes implementation of the project plans as well as project oversight and coordination with the project team. The Superintendent will hold a close working relationship with the Project Manager, Site Safety & Health Officer, Foreman, and Quality Control/Quality Assurance Manager (QM), as well as project team members.

Additional responsibilities include:

 On-site implementation and coordination of the project plans per the SOW

 Schedule and execute all phases of construction

 Lead regular internal and external tailgate meetings including daily discussions on project health and safety

 Prepare daily reports with Project Manager, Site Safety & Health Officer, and Quality Control/Quality Assurance Manager (QM)

 Review and process project submittals

 Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly meetings with all on site staff

 Hire and supervise direct reports

 Coordinate with on-site subs

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors degree in business administration, engineering, construction, or related field

 7+ years of construction experience

 Experience working with federal agencies

 Experience using a scheduling software Blue Beam, PDF Soft, Adobe, Primavera, or similar software

 Experience with Microsoft Office

 Construction management experience NAVFAC or USACE experience

 OSHA 30 Certificate

 First Aid/CPR Certified

 Active security clearance

 Estimating experience (RS Means) null
