Job Title: Electrical EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. The ideal candidate will assist with the design of electrical, lighting, and fire alarm systems, prepare necessary electrical designs, draft electrical system designs, attend project meetings, provide construction administration services, coordinate with clients, and perform field surveys of existing facilities. This position requires periodic business travel to fulfill project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist electrical engineers with the design of electrical, lighting, and fire alarm systems.

• Prepare electrical designs as required to meet client schedules.

• Draft electrical system designs.

• Attend project meetings.

• Provide construction administration services as needed.

• Correspond with clients for coordination and information requests.

• Perform field surveys of existing facilities.

• Periodic business travel required to fulfill project requirements.

Essential Skills

• 3-5+ years of design experience ( senior level positions also available).

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical Engineering concentration from an ABET accredited college or university (preferred but not required).

• Professional Engineering license preferred.

• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to work on a variety of projects, incorporating sustainable design.

• Strong communication skills for client correspondence and project coordination.

Work Environment

Hybrid schedule with 1 day remote and the rest in the office. Enjoy half days on Fridays by working four 9-hour shifts. Travel is infrequent, typically 1-2 times per month and local within Hampton Roads. Most customer meetings are virtual. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
