We are seeking a skilled Engineering Test Coordinator to support critical ship system processes, design, and development for naval and maritime operations. This role involves providing technical expertise, conducting system assessments, and contributing to the design and testing of advanced electrical and electronic systems aboard Navy vessels. Key Responsibilities:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Support the operation, maintenance, and testing of HM&E Systems, Machinery Control, Damage Control, Navigation & Ship Control Systems, subsystems, equipment, and components
Responsible for all technical aspects of shipboard design, operations, maintenance, testing and evaluating projects and associated modifications, alterations, installations and upgrades for military vessels and small crafts
Review and analyze drawings to support material requirements and test plan/procedure development
Assist Program Managers and Project Leads with both Surface and Submarine Alterations, Repair or Fleet Modernization projects
Ensure projects and initiatives progress as scheduled and contract specifications are adhered to
Interface with clients and customers regarding tasks
Perform duties outside of specialty to complete work assignment
Required Experience:
Requirements:
Must have graduated from a Trade or Industrial School, High School, or GED
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
10+ years of continuous years of experience in completing tasks for US Navy systems such as preparing designs for various complex equipment or systems, resolving design problems, designing and coordination testing
Direct experience in ship repair and installation of Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) systems and equipment on surface ships and submarines
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience with Naval and related commercial shipbuilding design, operations and maintenance data systems, principals, practices, procedures, processes, standards, drawings, and specifications
Minimum of one (1) year experience with HM&E systems, subsystems, equipment, components, furnishings, and spaces
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience with cost estimating, material procurement and management as related HM&E Systems, Machinery Control, Damage Control, Navigation & Ship Control Systems.
Ability to perform detailed ship checks involving collection of data necessary to develop the applicable design modifications for systems and components required to support the system design change.
The ability to read and interpret ship installation drawings, installation specifications and NAVSEA Standard Items is a must
Must have or can obtain a SECRET clearance
Must have the ability to obtain base access and security credentials
Ability to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes. The exact weight requirements will be determined by the specific job, but no less than 30 lbs
Ability to work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature environments, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions and in confined spaces
Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States
Due to export control regulations, this role is open to U.S. citizens only

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures with industrial control systems
Proficiency in reading electrical diagrams
Knowledge of network troubleshooting tools
Proficiency in the use of testing and diagnostic tools associated with industrial control systems
Proficiency in designing, modeling, and testing advanced systems
Excellent communication and technical documentation skills
Knowledge of naval systems and shipboard operations
