Sr. Quality Engineers with Rivian Automotive, LLC in Normal, IL. Responsible for quality system planning and performance for the Body Shop for Rivians electric vehicles. This position utilizes the combined skills of manufacturing process knowledge, automotive quality tools, data analysis, and 8D problem solving to support and improve a build teams quality performance. Participate in APQP related to responsible area. Support manufacturing team equipment and process capability analysis. Develop product and process validation/inspection plans. Deliver quality tool training on various topics. Identify and contain suspect material assist supplier quality functions. Own 8D/RCCA resolution for internal quality issues. Utilize metrology equipment to solve problems. Analyze and improve quality performance. Responsible for quality related continuous improvement projects. Monitor, create, and provide quality performance data for KPI boards. Perform 8D, PFMEA, and Control plan review and update. Utilize warranty and dealer quality input to improve processes. Develop, maintain, and improve the quality culture within responsible area.

RQMTS: Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related field and one year of experience in any occupation involving: industrial, or mechanical, or manufacturing engineering. Experience must include: APQP, 8D; CAD/CATIA; Kaizen and Six Sigma; Data analytics tools Excel, Tableau, or Looker; Working on manufacturing/assembly process; and Working on statistical process control and control charts. Salary Range: \$99,000 - \$131,000/yr.
