Description

Robert Half is seeking an Accounting Specialist for a long-term contract opportunity in North Bergen, New Jersey, United States. This role involves the execution of various accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Reconciliations. The successful candidate will be expected to manage multiple transactions and maintain accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:

• Process high-volume, high dollar amount transactions daily within QuickBooks Enterprise.

• Analyze and manage Accounts Receivable data and collections, including credit terms.

• Perform month-end closing activities, adhering to GAAP standards, with the assistance of external firms.

• Use your Excel skills to manage and analyze large volumes of data.

• Work with Pay Portals to ensure smooth financial operations.

• Manage and resolve customer inquiries efficiently.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on account status.

• Collaborate with the company's Controller and two Staff Accountants to ensure efficient financial operations.

• Handle the more complex aspects of the Accounts Receivable side, including data analysis and collections.

Requirements

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Familiarity with Credit Terms

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
