Coordinate the company’s retail operations, with retail offerings including imported and local grocery products and private labeled items. Select and source specialty Italian food products from Italy and the U.S. for resale to retail consumers. Establish goals and key performance indicators. Review financial statements, sales reports, purchasing trends and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and anticipate consumer buying patterns. Analyze current industry trends in order to identify new products to offer for sale and monitor customers’ preferences to determine product offerings accordingly. Negotiate terms and conditions for the production of privately labeled goods and oversees the design and production of privately labeled food products packaging for pasta sauces, soups, olive oils, vinegars and other specialty Italian products. Identify areas needing cost reduction or program improvement. Oversee product and inventory management and create product lists, identifying roll-outs and phase-outs of products. Requirements: Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Economics or related plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or as Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Operations Manager or related. Must also possess two years of experience with:•Analyzing Italian specialty food market and trends in the United States;•Private labeling operations; and,•Developing key performance indicators for retail operations
