Description

We are offering a contract for a permanent position as a Network Engineer in North Canton, Ohio. As a Network Engineer, you will be involved in a broad range of tasks including the revamp of internal networks, deployment of Cisco firewalls, and the provision of support for remote terminal sites across the U.S. This role will not involve working on tickets but will require a more strategic, higher-level approach.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the replacement of Sonic Wall at the corporate office with Cisco firewalls and the deployment of Cisco Umbrella.

• Conduct a top-down revamp of the internal network, including the establishment of naming conventions.

• Develop a workable plan template for network management moving forward.

• Support the Network Canton support center in Canton, two data centers in Canton, and remote terminal sites across the U.S, primarily using Citrix or virtual desktops.

• Provide senior level expertise to assess the current network status and develop an effective working plan.

• Assist in setting up firewalls, using Cisco ASA experience, and managing VLANS.

• Support remote employees and manage VPN connections.

• Create flow charts for subnets, VLANS, security, and VPNs to ensure efficient connectivity.

• Contribute to the revamp of Azure strategy, providing input and experience on Azure Networking.

• Work remotely, with the possibility of visiting sites as needed to help map out the network infrastructure.

Requirements • Proficiency in using Cisco Technologies, including Cisco ASA, Cisco Nexus, and Cisco Routers

• Demonstrated knowledge of Computer Hardware

• Experience in Configuration Management

• Expertise in establishing and maintaining Connectivity
