GeoStabilization International Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic in North Carolina
Overview
We're seeking an experienced and skilled Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic to join our team. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of various types of heavy equipment, including rock drills, excavators, skid steers, lifts, concrete pumps, some proprietary equipment and other types of heavy constrcution equipment.

This is a travelling position and requires signficant travel across the Eastern Region. The typical travel rotation is Monday-Friday, with overtime/weekends as needed.
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy duty machines or mechanical components according to requirements and OEM sop’s
Inspect machines, engines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues
Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability and safe operations
Correctly and efficiently troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems including pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, gearboxes, and communication software
Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components
Replenish fluids and components of engines and machinery
Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g. repair of hydraulic systems, welding, etc.)
Keep logs of work and report on issues
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Valid Driver's license required
Experience in repairing and maintaining heavy equipment
The ability to travel up to 100% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of heavy construction equipment and repair experience
Experience working on railway equipment
5+ years of hydraulics and electrical troubleshooting experience
CDL Driver's license strongly preferred
Licensing/certification as a mechanic
Location:Travel across the Eastern Region
Compensation:$25/hr to $35/hr. with eligibility for overtime
