Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, electrical (including PLC), and hydraulic systems to repair machine equipment during both unexpected and scheduled downtime events. The role includes completing preventive maintenance schedules, ensuring equipment and tools are maintained to avoid production interruptions, and proactively analyzing machine downtime to identify and correct mechanical issues before they occur. Additional responsibilities include maintaining maintenance records, coordinating with outside contractors, and participating in continuous improvement projects.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, electrical (including PLC), and hydraulic systems to repair machine equipment during downtime events.
Complete preventive maintenance schedules to ensure machine robustness and maximum uptime.
Maintain equipment and tools properly to avoid production interruptions and minimize unnecessary downtime.
Proactively analyze machine downtime to identify and correct mechanical problems before they occur.
Ensure availability of replacement parts for key manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime.
Maintain maintenance-related records.
Coordinate with outside contractors on equipment repairs and source effective repairs and upgrades.
Provide input and ensure completion of continuous improvement projects.
Perform facilities maintenance.
Maintain clear written records.
Create and maintain a safe and secure work environment.
Achieve yearly goals and objectives.
Adjust quickly to changing demands and requests, accepting new tasks as opportunities for growth.
Essential Skills
Strong troubleshooting skills and technical knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Courses in maintenance-related disciplines; electrical certification or industrial electronics education preferred.
Allen Bradley PLC programming experience preferred.
Experience with total productive maintenance systems (TPM) preferred.
Machining experience preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a maintenance position in the automotive industry preferred.
Familiarity with the Occupational Safety and Health Act and Regulations preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and preventive maintenance software preferred.
Strong time management, sense of urgency, and organizational skills preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with PLC, electrical maintenance, and robotics.
Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.50 - $31.00
