Robert Half Materials Control Supervisor in North Charleston, South Carolina
Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Materials Control Supervisor in North Charleston, South Carolina. This role is central to our operations, focusing on the management of incoming materials, maintaining warehouse organization, and ensuring effective communication with various departments.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the receipt of incoming materials, ensuring alignment with purchase orders and bills of lading. • Implement effective inventory cycle counts and participate in annual warehouse physical inventory audits. • Maintain accurate records of materials, including location and description using RFMS ID tags. • Coordinate the preparation of materials for shipment, verifying adherence to Pick Ticket specifications. • Regularly review Schedule Pro to effectively plan future material shipments. • Process and deliver Pick and delivery Tickets RFMS promptly after materials are dispatched from the warehouse. • Communicate regularly with the Purchasing Manager regarding material requirements for inventory stock or specific jobs. • Facilitate the return of damaged or incorrectly shipped goods, promptly informing the Purchasing Manager of any such issues. • Assign materials to specific warehouse locations and arrange for their shipment two days before the required job schedule dates. • Collaborate with staff in Charleston and Charlotte Offices, establishing excellent working relationships. Requirements • Proficiency in budget processes and purchasing management
• Experience in buying processes and purchasing activities
• Familiarity with invoice management and processing
• Comprehensive understanding of purchasing department operations
• Ability to perform purchasing functions effectively
• Knowledge of purchasing materials and procurement actions
• Experience in purchasing planning and procurement activities
• Proficiency in procurement and procurement functions
• Familiarity with the Bill of Materials (BOM)
• Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
• Knowledge of MRP ERP System operations
• Ability to manage MRP inventory effectively
• Experience in handling and processing purchase orders
