Position Summary
The Product and Regulatory Approvals Contract Manager is responsible for drafting generic contract language for all commercial segments and lines of business supported by the Product and Regulatory Approvals (P&RA) organization, including all aspects of translating/drafting business product/product features and business intent into all our generic contract forms. In this role, you will:
Support the enterprise to execute on strategic advancement of local and national goals, initiatives, and products/product features.
Translate/draft complex business products, product features and business intent into clear concise and accurate, consumer-friendly generic forms.
Work collaboratively with P&RA colleagues in all aspects of a project or program through the project management lifecycle to meet these goals, including scoping, planning, research/analysis, documentation, coordination, development and implementation.
Develop and implement generic form strategies and standard language guidance to help our business units – and our company – meet corporate objectives and compete more successfully in the marketplace.
Support the business by recommending appropriate actions, strategies and/or alternatives to meet business needs. Highly collaborative process often requires managing relationships across the segments or multiple internal and downstream functional areas.
Meet project milestone deliverables with understanding of strategic, operational impact to the enterprise. Provide status reports on drafting of language to team and managers.
In order to be successful in this role you must exhibit the following:
Strong attention to detail in drafting contracts, ensuring consistency and high quality across multiple forms.
Effectively participate in highly collaborative processes from ideation through implementation, often through managing relationships across business segments and/or multiple functional areas.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to present ideas/solutions to a variety of large and small audiences of their peers, and various manager levels. Ability to make clear, succinct recommendations to department managers based on research.
Offer creative problem solving and continuous improvement ideas to support departmental metrics, process improvement and efficiency goals.
Deep understanding of the products and product/features in our portfolio.
Provide expertise and assist other teams during all phases of the filing project (for example with DOI objections) to support successful approved filings. Work with regional teams to support their filing efforts and assist with DOI objections for form questions.
Successful collaboration across multiple functional areas and segments to obtain agreement from all impacted parties for the business’ priorities.
Effective partnering with other functional managers and business areas across all segments and commercial products to ensure essential workflow processes and interdependencies are identified and addressed to help facilitate smooth end-to-end implementation.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of industry, regulatory, or legal experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively with different audiences.
Knowledge of contract drafting
Excellent analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and proven ability to work both independently and on a team.
Demonstrated ability to take on progressively more challenging projects.
Strong understanding of the healthcare industry and regulatory environment, including in-depth knowledge of CVS Health products, services, business units and administrative procedures strongly preferred.
Education:
Bachelor's degree required or equivalent years of related experience.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$60,300.00 - $145,860.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
