Description We are providing an opportunity for a Property Accountant in NORTHBROOK, Illinois. This role is in the commercial real estate industry and offers a short term contract employment opportunity. The Property Accountant will be based onsite after the initial training period.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize Yardi software to manage all commercial property accounting tasks

• Accurately code accounts and process customer credit applications

• Operate various accounting software systems to manage financial transactions

• Execute accounting functions for both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Perform accrual accounting tasks and conduct regular audits on financial data

• Ensure accurate customer credit records are maintained

• Handle customer inquiries and provide timely resolutions

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action when required

• Use ADP - Financial Services and AMSI systems for efficient financial management

• Manage AppFolio system to streamline accounting operations. Requirements • Must have proficiency in Account Coding

• Ability to use Accounting Software Systems

• Knowledge of ADP - Financial Services is required

• Familiarity with AMSI and AppFolio are beneficial

• Must be competent in executing Accounting Functions

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Understanding of Accrual Accounting principles

• Auditing skills are a plus

• Must possess a degree in Accounting or a related field

• Previous experience in a similar role such as Property Accountant is preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential

• Must have strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and in a team

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Understanding of property management and real estate industry is a plus

• Must be organized and able to multitask effectively

• Strong problem-solving skills are required.
