Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a well-rounded Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, service, repair, and maintenance of the refrigeration systems at our ice cream manufacturing plant. This role may also require occasional travel to our cold storage warehouse using your own vehicle. Responsibilities include supporting ice and ice cream manufacturing operations, general plant and facility maintenance, and participation as a member of the plant Emergency Response Team.

Responsibilities

• Operate, service, repair, and maintain refrigeration systems.

• Support ice and ice cream manufacturing operations.

• Perform general plant and facility maintenance.

• Conduct mechanical and electrical repairs on manufacturing equipment, boilers, chillers, and HVAC systems.

• Train and participate as a member of the plant Emergency Response Team.

• Recognize and correct abnormal operation conditions.

• Prepare and respond to emergency operations, power failures, and system restarts after shutdown.

• React appropriately to liquid levels out of safe or reliable limits.

• Safely remove system components for repair or replacement.

• Operate within OSHA standard compliance.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of experience or schooling equivalent.

• Experience with 3 phase 480V electrical systems.

• Electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to think outside the box.

• Valid driver’s license.

• Ability to stand or walk up to seven hours per day and carry tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 45 pounds.

Work Environment

Work environment is a clean GMP regulated environment. Employees must wear hair and beard nets, steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, and ear plugs. No fingernail polish or jewelry is allowed. The role will involve working in a very cold environment, sometimes 0 degrees, and freezer suits are provided.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $100000.00
