+-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Behavioral Health Clinical Case Manager (Limited Term) | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | The Behavioral Health Clinical Case Manager (BHCCM) is a University | | Counseling Center (UCC) position embedded in University Health | | Services (UHS) which facilitates the coordination of care for | | students whose presentation of issues atUHSincludes behavioral health | | concerns. TheBHCCMis integrally involved in supporting the expansion | | of mental health screenings for all students at everyUHSvisit | | including risk assessment and connection to the corresponding level | | of care to address mental health needs. TheBHCCMprovides brief | | behavioral health interventions to students and offers consultation | | on behavioral health and wellness issues within the primary care | | setting ofUHS. TheBHCCMfacilitates referrals to theUCCfor mental | | health treatment and facilitates the coordination of care between | | theUCCandUHS. TheBHCCMparticipates in health and wellness activities, | | outreach efforts, and will serve on University committees | | coordinating suicide prevention efforts on campus. | | Responsibilities include: | | | | - Oversees the expansion of the mental health screening program | | atUHSfor depression (PHQ-9) and anxiety (GAD-7) to include all | | students seeking services atUHSat every visit. | | - Collaborates withUHSleadership to develop protocols and to | | provide training to providers in screening procedures. | | - Provides education brief intervention, risk assessment, and | | follow-up to students identified as at risk through the | | screening process. | | - Assists in gathering data which will be utilized to evaluate | | efficacy of the program and fidelity to established | | protocols. Future screen tools may be added for substance | | use, eating concerns, etc. | | - Delivers the following types of behavioral interventions within | | the primary care setting ofUHS: | | - Brief behavioral interventions to students as part of their | | health care visit based on referrals from theUHSprovider. | | Makes treatment and management recommendations to thePCP. In | | collaboration with the provider, offers recommendations for | | additional support services, mental health treatments or | | psychiatric specialty care. Documents interventions and | | services in theUHSpatient record keeping system; | | - Recommends and facilitates referrals to theUCCor to | | off-campus for mental health treatment. When making referrals | | to theUCC, theBHCCMhas the student complete theUCCforms, | | reviews completed forms, conducts the equivalent of | | theUCCdrop-in assessment with the student, and recommends | | appropriate services at theUCC. Documents these student | | encounters in theUCCrecord keeping system; | | - Provides case management in support ofUHSproviders when | | caring for students with mental health issues. | | - Coordinates and initiates psychiatric hospitalization for | | students who present with significant risk factors atUHS. | | Also, participates in regular staffUHSdepartmental me tings, | | and attendsUCCmeetings as appropriate. | | - Participate in the campus-wide Suicide Prevention Coalition and | | Zero Suicide Prevention Working group within the Student Health | | and Wellness area to supportSAMHSAgrant activities to enhance | | suicide prevention and treatment. | | - TheBHCCMparticipates in health and wellness activities, outreach | | efforts, and other administrative responsibilities for the | | Student Health and Wellness area, as assigned. | | | | This is a 3-year, limited term position though October 31, 2027, | | funded by theSAMHSAgrant. | | | | #LI-SH1 | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | - Master's degree or Bachelor's degree (5 years) or advanced | | certification beyond Bachelor's | | - Licensed or license-eligible as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker | | in the state of Indiana. | | - Demonstrated competency in the delivery of brief behavioral | | interventions, the administration and interpretation of mental | | health screening tools, and strong crisis-assessment and | | management skills | | - Demonstrated sensitivity to multicultural issues and proven | | ability to offer culturally-sensitive interventions to a diverse | | group of individuals from underserved communities. | | - Organization, follow-through, and ability to work independently | | and as a member of a multidisciplinary team. | | - Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills | | required to interact with multiple levels of stakeholders, | | including students, providers, campus partners, parents, etc. | | - Ability to problem-solve, handle sensitive information and | | nuanced situations. | | - Demonstrated ability to simultaneously handle and successfully | | manage multiple tasks and initiatives. | | - A solid understanding of boundaries and professional ethics. | | - Ability to handle sensitive information with a high level of | | confidentiality. | | - Familiarity with electronic record keeping systems. | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | University Counseling Center (17045) | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | ucc.nd.edu | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Health Services / Student Wellbeing | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | EIC 2 Professional | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | up to $50,000 | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Semi-Monthly
