Here's an overview of the role:

This role is part of a Caregiving Programs team who collaborates with Caregiver Specialists/Caregiver Teams at Caregiver Resource Centers (CRCs) to provide technical assistance, guidance, and support their efforts in providing caregiver services, training and education. You will work directly with individuals and groups involved in the suburban Cook County wide Caregiver Program and play an integral part on related special projects and initiatives, such as Trualta and TCARE

What are the Specifics (or at least some of them):

  • Provide support, guidance and training to the Caregiver Network and other Aging Network staff and providers.

  • Plan and facilitate quarterly Caregiver Network meetings for the Caregiver Resource Center’s caregiving team, key AgeOptions staff, and also other funded partners (i.e., Memory Café Partners).

  • Act as a liaison between the CRCs, Trualta, and the TCARE team. Provide technical assistance with TCARE challenges as needed.

  • Monitor Respite Registry, this may include reviewing applications and contracts and troubleshooting with CRCs on any respite issues.

Required Experience:

Who we are looking for:

  • A committed professional having a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Gerontology, Counselling or related field. A Master's Degree is a plus! If you don't meet the education guideline, but have relevant experience, we encourage you to apply and share how your background aligns with this role

  • A collaborator with at least 1 year experience in social services, community organizing, volunteer coordination or lived experience

  • An organized problem solver with knowledge and experience in caregiving, services for older adults

  • A strategic thinker with experience in learning complex programs

  • A communicator who has experience in developing and facilitating formal presentations, working in low-income and diverse communities

  • Bi-lingual- Spanish speaking a plus
