Job Title: Civil Project Engineer
Job Description
We are looking for a Civil Project Engineer who can apply engineering principles and techniques to solve problems and create construction documents. Oversee the design and development of grading, stormwater management, and utility systems from initial planning to construction. Develop specifications, conduct research, and prepare detailed reports. Planned, scheduled, and managed technical phases of major projects or moderate-scope projects across multiple assignments. Collaborate with the design team, consultants, and regulatory authorities. Monitor and track agency approvals, additional service requests, and contract approvals. Modify site plans to meet requirements and suggest more efficient layouts. Review entire projects, including designs by others, before quality assurance/quality control review. Guided and delegated tasks to and led design engineers effectively.
Responsibilities
Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to solve engineering challenges and create construction documents
Understand project design and development for grading, stormwater treatment, and utility systems from the planning phase through construction.
Preparation of specifications, research investigations, and reports.
Plan, scheduled, and coordinated detailed phases of technical work in portions of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope across multiple projects.
Coordinate with the design team, consultants, and authorities having jurisdiction.
Track and monitor approvals from agencies, Additional Service Requests, and contract approvals.
Ability to adjust site plans to meet requirements and provide recommendations for more effective layouts.
Reviews the entire project, including design done by others, before QA/QC review.
Ability to effectively mentor, delegate, and lead Design Engineers.
Essential Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
Over four years of experience in land development project design.
Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification, or active progress towards obtaining a PE license.
Skilled in using AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydrology modeling software, and storm drainage systems.
Strong knowledge of accurate grading, utility planning, and stormwater management.
Capable of resolving grading issues and balancing earthwork as necessary.
Proficient in multitasking, prioritizing tasks, and excelling in a fast-paced, professional setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Professional license reimbursement: $2,250 and paid up to 8 hrs for testing.
Continuing education reimbursement: $1,500 every year.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $67.00
