Kelly Services Maintenance Technician (Nights) in Ocala, Florida
Location: Ocala, FL
Pay: $28.62/hr.
Shift: 12 Hour Night Shifts- 6pm to 6am
Duration : 4mo- Contract-to-Hire
Interview: Manager will be conducting interviews
Training will be for 2 weeks Monday to Friday 6am to 6pm and then will transition to nights.
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment and machinery to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency. This position requires knowledge in PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) troubleshooting and programming, planning, strong electrical skills, as well as knowledge of mechanical, welding, and fabrication, and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations). Additionally, the Maintenance Technician must possess good communication skills and be knowledgeable of Microsoft Office Suite.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and PLC issues on production equipment and machinery.
Follow established maintenance plans and schedules for equipment and machinery.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Fabricate and weld components as required.
Order and manage spare parts and supplies for MRO.
Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs.
Assist senior maintenance technicians as needed.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School or GED with technical training or certification in electrical, mechanical, or related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
PLC programming and troubleshooting.
Strong electrical skills.
Knowledge of mechanical, welding, and fabrication.
Knowledge of MRO.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
There are some essential physical requirements specific to our work environment, including being able to:
Stand for 10 - 12 hours straight.
Climb and descend stairs/ladder as needed for the role.
Do repetitive movements (hand, arm, leg; bending and twisting at the waist; bending at the knee; squatting; lift, push and pull 40-pounds).
Withstand exposure to temperature extremes; sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable.
Handle, control and feel raw materials and finished goods.
Ability to work overtime as necessary.
Safeguard self and others with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
Steel-toed shoes.
Eye protection (glasses, goggles, and/or facemask).
Hearing protection and long-sleeved shirt and pants as necessary for task.
