ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure product conformity to customer requirements and internal specifications. Work within a multi-regulated environment, ISO 90001, ASME Section Vlll Div1, CRN, CE, ATEX, 3-A, NACE, etc. Lead quality department activities on new product development efforts, Design for Quality (DFQ) , APQP, and inspection methodologies. Assist Manufacturing Engineers in developing robust processes and identify areas for improvement with process data. Implement methods and procedures for inspection, testing, and evaluation of incoming and manufactured products. Knowledgeably program and operate a variety of metrology equipment. Zeiss CMM, Metrios Cross OMM, optical comparator, profilometer, and other handheld or benchtop equipment. Maintain the gage management system. Assist with inspections: Incoming material, in-process, 1st piece/full layout. Participate in supplier evaluation, qualification, and development. Determine supplier PPAP requirements, and review supplier PPAP submissions. Effectively use Supplier Corrective Actions to resolve supplier quality problems and improve supplier performance. Perform internal and supplier audits. Investigate and respond to internal and customer Corrective Actions utilizing proven problem-solving methods such as 8d, 5-Why, etc. Support company wide and departmental continual improvement efforts. Support the company training program and conduct special training sessions.
