Job Title: Sr. Metrology Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Metrology Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metrology, specifically within the aerospace, defense, or satellite industry. This role involves performing precise measurements, calibrating and maintaining instruments, and analyzing data to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
Perform precise measurements using advanced metrology equipment and tools.
Calibrate, maintain, and repair metrology instruments and systems.
Analyze and interpret measurement data to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Train and mentor junior technicians on metrology practices and equipment usage.
Maintain detailed records of calibration activities and measurement data.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance measurement accuracy and efficiency.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 5 years of experience in metrology, preferably in the aerospace, defense, or satellite industry.
Proficiency in using a variety of metrology tools and software.
Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), Laser Trackers, and 3D Scanners.
Proficiency in Calibration Recall systems, processes, procedures, and software.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Knowledge of ISO standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
Experience and knowledge in the use and interpretation of Geometric Tolerancing and Dimensioning (GD&T).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency with specific metrology software such as ProCalV5, Calibration Recall, MET/CAL, and PC-DMIS.
Experience with Hexagon Metrology’s Global S CMM, Zeiss CONTURA, API Radian Laser Tracker, Leica Absolute Tracker, FARO Edge ScanArm, and GOM ATOS.
Work Environment
This is an on-site role in Central Texas. The position offers great pay and the opportunity for 10-15 hours of overtime per week. Additionally, a stipend, relocation assistance, and hotel accommodations are included.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $83000.00 - $94000.00
Company benefits include relocation, stipend, potential sign on bonus. They offer full health benefits but not 401K match at this time.

This is a fully onsite position in Odessa,TX.
