Customer Focused Team (CFT) Leader Farr West, UT

Job Summary: Leader of a select project team responsible for all aspects of project management including estimating, manufacturing / quality planning, engineering / design, technical support / problem solving, customer communication / relationships, and supporting sales activities.  Overseer of active programs ensuring on-time delivery within budget.

Authorities: Establish pricing (receive approval as required) and establish customer schedules. Managerial authority regarding personnel issues in accordance with company policy and legal requirements, including hiring. Approval of overtime schedules for personnel assigned to area.

Essential Functions: * Review incoming inquiries with estimating department and team members, monitor daily quote log. * Review incoming purchase orders. Ensure contract review, planning and job releases are completed within schedule to meet customer delivery requirements. * Review routing process to ensure our ability to meet customer delivery needs, estimate of hours and material/sublet costs. * Participate in Engineering and Quality planning activities. * Participate in work order kick off and release meetings. * Coordinate communications from the customer involving changes in work scope/cost or delivery to Sales, Operations and Production Control. * Coordinate customer inquiries/concerns or project reporting requirements. * Provide updated schedules and maintain system dates through appropriate avenues (Production Control, Order Entry). * Identify and monitor project milestones, critical path, and job delays/recovery plans to ensure delivery within schedule. * Complete approvals for non-conformances. * Manage customer non-conformance reports both internal and external. * Notify executive staff of all customer found non-conformances. * Provide support to necessary team members. * Resolve schedule conflicts with Production Control. * Manage rework costs.  Identify issues and work to ensure corrections are made. * Ensure accurate job notes are maintained. * Participate in job reviews. * Coordinate and participate in continuous improvement activities. * Review and approve invoices. * Collaborate with Sales to optimize market opportunities. * Administer and support Petersen's quality system, policies and corporate culture of Petersen Operating Way through participation in meetings and day-to-day contact with employees. * Design, develop, and deliver training and education programs related to key processes to support departmental and company metrics. * Perform managerial administrative tasks as required per company policy and procedure. * Attendance is an essential job function. * Employees will operate in compliance of all recognized standards that Petersen adheres to (such as AS9100, ISO 9000), including all supporting policies and procedures.
