We are currently in need of a Level 2 Desktop Technician to provide onsite support for a new infrastructure build-out located in Oklahoma City, OK. This candidate will be instrumental in coordinating key aspects of this build, including but not limited to areas involving NetOps, Server Ops, and PC Ops as well as schedule and meet with various vendors in line with project dependencies and timelines. As a technical liaison, this Technician will be the key contact for ensuring on-time delivery and coordination between the vendor, the business, and corporate IT. This position utilizes advanced technical knowledge and experience to plan and lead the implementation of technical solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide advanced technological systems support, maintenance, and testing / validation during project turnup
Assemble, rack, and otherwise install key infrastructure hardware and software under the guidance of corporate IT
Provide onsite and remote problem solving and assistance as needed
Oversee and perform the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers, networks, Wi-Fi, workstations and / or other related equipment and devices
Coordinate and manage relationships with vendors and local and remote support staff
Perform all testing, diagnosis, and validation on key systems, applications, or networks
Ensure tracking of all ordered equipment for on-time delivery
Participate in daily and / or weekly project meetings to understand continuing scope and execution points of the build-out
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Interface with the business and corporate IT teams to ensure smooth transitions as technology is added and tested
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or related experience in the field of IT, IT Infrastructure and Operations
Minimum 5 to 7+ years of IT experience; well-rounded with experiences that include L1, L2, and L3 technical acumen
Track record of competency to assess, prioritize, and process a solution to meet a business need
Ability to work independently and execute technical solutions based on team feedback and instruction
Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
Effective communications with internal teams to identify needs / requirements and evaluate alternative solutions and strategies
Proven track record of managing multiple stages of projects in order to assess and continually align with changing IT priorities throughout project scope
Must have ability to execute tasks efficiently and on-time
$28.00 - $30.00 per hour
