Overview
Tanaq Management Services (TMS) delivers professional, scientific, and technical services and information technology (IT) solutions to federal agencies in health, technology, and other government services. TMS is a subsidiary of the St. George Tanaq Corporation, an Alaskan Native Corporation (ANC) committed to serving Federal customers while also giving back to the Tanaq native community and shareholders.
About the Role
We are seeking a Training Specialist to develop and deliver training programs. The Training Specialist will collaborate with federal government agency client teams to create effective training materials for internal staff and external grant awardees.
This is a fully remote position based in United States.
Responsibilities
Engage with federal agency clients and external grant awardees to identify training needs and requirements.
Collaborate closely with the federal client and team to develop and implement qualitative and mixed-method data collection protocols (i.e., needs assessment) to inform training and technical assistance program for federal grant awardees working in cancer prevention.
Develop and maintain training materials, including orientation manual and other manuals and guides, as appropriate.
Design and deliver training programs and webinars.
Facilitate communication and collaboration between training and technical teams.
Support quality assurance and acceptance testing of training programs.
Create attractive and functional training documents and reports.
Participate in meetings, record meeting notes, and update stakeholders.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Required Experience and Skills
Minimum 5 years of experience designing, developing, and conducting training to educate staff.
Strong Microsoft Office skills (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment.
Experience in developing and delivering training programs.
Experience working in cancer prevention and/or control preferred.
Prior experience working with a public health federal agency preferred.
Ability to obtain government clearance.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Education and Training
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, English (writing/editing), Instructional Design, Public Health, Business Administration or closely related field. Master's degree in closely related field preferred, but not required. Extensive relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. May need to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
