Description

We are in search of a Controller to join our team. This is a temporary opportunity for 2-3 months, or could go longer. Ideal candidate will be open to a hybrid schedule of 2-3 days a week on-site (somewhat flexible with start time, etc.).

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

• Utilize accounting software systems, specifically SAGE Intacct and Excel, to process and record financial transactions.

• Conduct regular audits and audit preparations to ensure financial data accuracy.

• Work independently on complex tasks such as the preparation and maintenance of Work In Progress (WIP) schedules for construction projects.

• Assist in the budgeting process and provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.

• Manage and oversee the company's financial systems, ensuring they are robust, compliant, and support current activities and future growth.

• Offer insights on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities, and policy matters.

• Oversee financial management of foreign operations to include developing financial and budget policies and procedures.

• Prepare and present monthly financial budgeting reports including monthly profit and loss by division, forecast vs. budget by division, and weekly cash flow by division.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Ability to handle all Accounting Functions

• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes

• Understanding of Auditing practices and principles

• Familiarity with Budget Processes

• Proficiency in Intacct and Intacct ERP systems

• Ability to prepare for Audit Prep

• Experience with WIP - Work In Progress

• Knowledge of Cost Accounting, Manufacturing Cost Accounting, and Standard Cost Accounting

• Ability to manage and maintain General Ledger
