Maintenance Manager -- First Shift
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance, repair, and servicing of machinery and equipment at our headquarters. The successful candidate will lead a team of supervisors, planners, office staff, and maintenance technicians to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our operations.
Responsibilities

Motivate and guide technicians to improve required skills and performance to meet both career goals and organizational reliability objectives.
Identify, review, assign, and prioritize maintenance tasks, strategies, and projects to proactively influence continuous improvement.
Oversee the maintenance, repair, and servicing of machinery and equipment, including process design(s) to ensure adherence to current and future reliability and efficiency metrics.
Collaborate to plan, organize, and justify costs for project implementation, predictive and preventive maintenance, and create recommendations on necessary adjustments.
Collaborate with vendors and suppliers for equipment and parts procurement to facilitate maintenance, repairs, and operations (MRO) management.
Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime, reduce costs, extend the lifespan of equipment, and improve operations.
Lead a zero-injury safety culture through a focus on safety initiatives, communication, incident follow-up, and corrective actions.
Establish maintenance schedules and checklists to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, local policies, and operating requirements.
Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, standards, and company policies.
Develop and implement emergency response plans for maintenance-related issues and respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly.
Maintain regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings, and completing assignments.
Develop and manage the maintenance budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities and efficient resource utilization.
Develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols, maintaining accurate records of equipment maintenance and repair history.
Essential Skills
Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Working knowledge of industrial maintenance in a manufacturing setting including welders, brake presses, roll formers, punch presses, paint lines, lasers, CNC equipment, and dies.
Experience with reliability-centered maintenance.
Intermediate skill with Microsoft Office applications and relevant maintenance software.
General mechanical and electrical knowledge, including troubleshooting and programmable controller knowledge.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Skilled knowledge of tool and die.
Knowledge of standard budget planning processes.
Knowledge of project planning database programs.
Knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing practices.
Experience using MP2 and Oracle to track machine components and labor costs.
Proficiency in AutoCAD/2D CAD systems
Work Environment
approximately 2,000 people, with about 1,000 in production and 1,000 in corporate roles. The facility operates in a very large industrial environment, producing shelving units and systems for large retailers, as well as checkout kiosks. The work involves a lot of welding, painting, and material handling. The environment can be hot in the summer. Typical work hours for the Maintenance Manager are around 50 hours per week, with occasional early mornings or late evenings to interact with different shifts.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $94000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
Company bonus potential. 10% bonus potential every 6 months based on production.

Monday thru Friday schedule, hybrid schedule available after training.
Monday thru Friday daytime schedule with additional limited off hour calls as needed to provide support across three shifts. Can also work a 9/9 schedule with a rotating Monday or Friday off.
