About the Role:

Join RailPros as a Rail Design Intern and immerse yourself in the dynamic world of rail infrastructure. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the design and development of rail projects. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with experienced professionals, gain hands-on experience using industry-leading CAD software, and actively contribute to the success of ongoing projects. Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

• Assist in Design Development:

• Work closely with the rail design team to contribute to the development and enhancement of rail infrastructure projects.

• Collaborate with rail engineers on the creation of detailed design drawings, plans, and specifications.

• CAD Modeling and Drafting:

• Utilize CAD software (MicroStation) to create accurate and detailed models and drawings.

• Assist with ensuring designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and project requirements.

• Data Analysis:

• Assist in collecting and analyzing data relevant to rail projects.

• Collaboration and Communication:

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineers and project managers.

• Communicate effectively to convey ideas, progress, and challenges.

• Quality Assurance:

• Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure designs are error-free and meet client standards.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities :

• Proficiency with electronic communication and standard office applications (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite).

• Basic oral and written communication skills.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.

• Attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work.

• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.

  Required Education and Experience :

• Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program.

• No prior experience required.
