Human Resources DirectorRegular/Salaried/ExemptManagementOneonta, NY, USSalary Range:$65,000.00 To $75,000.00 AnnuallySummary of Position Functions: Plans, directs and administers the Human Resources, Communications and Information Technology, and Security functions. Facilitates change, growth, and development initiatives to support and strengthen the center's strategic objectives and core values-driven culture. Major Duties and Responsibilities:Provides supervision, training, assessment and leadership for the HR, Security, and Communication and Information technology staff. Partners with corporate and center leadership to build a shared commitment to the company's core values-driven culture. Demonstrates and models core values. Establishes and oversees the core values of the leadership team. Acts as a trusted advisor to the Center Director and is a member of the senior leadership team.Partners with center leadership to identify solutions to organizational problems and influences key decisions and policies. Coaches and encourages staff to diagnose the true nature if problems and arrive at variable solutions. Develops and implements recruitment strategies to identify and maintain an active talent pool that ensures rapid talent replacement.Assesses the organizations' structure and makes recommendations to reallocate resources. Identifies and develops high potential staff. Provides oversight to staff training and development program. Designs and implements measurement tools that link learning to individuals and organizational performance. Develops and implements a reward program that aligns with the organizations vision and culture. Monitors and administers a departmental budget and works with budgetary restraints. Plans, organizes and controls the use of overtime and on-call staff to ensure compliance with center and ETR policy and procedures. Note: This job description is not all inclusive. Skills and Competencies:Demonstrated knowledge of management practices; proven ability to lead and support a teamProven knowledge of human resources policies and practicesThorough knowledge of local, state and federal regulations that govern employment practicesAbility to understand, control and track direct spending and labor budgetProven track record in developing processes and metrics that support the organizations successesDemonstrated strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, as well as effective presentation skills.Capacity to manage competing priorities and complete tasks within deadlines; detail-oriented; organizedProficient in the use of computer software such as Microsoft Suite Educational Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources/Business Administration Required Five years of proven work-related experience in increasingly responsible positions, two of which are in a leadership capacity.
