NY1511357 Fiber Instrument Sales, Inc., a leading manufacturer of fiber optic products, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 3D design experience to its technical team at its Oriskany, NY headquarters.

Responsibilities Handle engineering requests consisting of 2D and 3D concepts and designs. Perform enhancements and modifications for design layout in metal fabrication. Bill of Material creation and revisions. Maintain and drive continuous improvements to manufacturing standard work. Provide input for process improvements, cost reduction and automation. Develop methodologies to enhance productivity. Investigate and troubleshoot manufacturing problems.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education. Ability to perform engineering tasks under minimal guidance. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Microsoft Office proficient.

Job Type: Full-time, In Person (Oriskany, NY) Monday to Friday (8 hr day shift)

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
