Description

Robert Half is currently seeking Bookkeeper candidates on a contract to hire basis for a client of ours in the Orlando, FL area. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing financial records and transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency within our organization. Other duties and responsibilities of the Bookkeeper position are provided below.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process financial transactions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.

• Regularly carry out bank reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are balanced accurately and promptly.

• Investigate discrepancies in accounts and resolve issues promptly.

• Prepare financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards.

• Process payroll, including the calculation of employee hours, wages, and deductions.

• Ensure that payroll taxes are submitted in a timely manner.

• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, ensuring easy retrieval for audits or regulatory purposes.

• Manage and track company expenses, ensuring they align with the budget.

• Utilize software such as Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks to enhance efficiency and accuracy in bookkeeping.

• Perform month-end close procedures and account reconciliations.

Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required

• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) processes is essential

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary

• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations is a prerequisite

• Possess skills in Bookkeeping

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is needed

• Familiarity with Month End Close processes is required

• Experience with QuickBooks is essential
