JOB SUMMARY:

General job purpose is to ensure accuracy of financial results (accounting function) and financial reporting submissions to NBCU and Comcast (reporting function). Must identify and implement process automation procedures for reporting process. Job involves leading a team of senior accountants and/or accountants. Must participate in financial reviews with executive leadership.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Direct and supervises the overall financial function.

• Oversee month-end financial close process, including journal entry and account reconciliation reviews.

• Manage finance staff by providing leadership, coaching, mentoring, career development, and performance management.

• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting of business results with variance commentary.

• Assist with ad hoc projects, including research of complex accounting issues and development of accounting positions.

Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

  EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree or other advanced degree preferred.

• CPA preferred but not required.

  EXPERIENCE:

• 7+ years of accounting, or business experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• Infrequent local and long-distance travel.

• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
