Summary:
The Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Crane Operator to work at our Levy Big River Mill Services location in Osceola, AR . The Crane Operator will operate a crane equipped with grapple and drop ball to break up, extract and move material. The Operator will be responsible for maintaining slag pits, including digging, watering, and temperature monitoring. Pay: $23-$28/hr DOE, plus a $2/hr shift differential when on night. Schedule: 4 on / 4 off ; 12-hour shifts rotating from days to nights weekly.
Duties & Responsibilities: Comply with all safety regulations and policies. Meet customer service expectations. Complete various functions with grapple such as digging pits, feeding hopper and bins with material. Use drop ball to process skulls, break up, and size material. Maintain and monitor slag pits, feed material, and stockpile inventory. Perform Pre-trip and Post-trip inspections. Perform preventative maintenance on equipment (e.g. greasing, oiling, fueling, inspecting). Perform computer diagnostics on the machine. Monitor changes in equipment performance and reports potential malfunctions to maintenance personnel. Keep the equipment and work area clean and tidy. Maintain daily recordkeeping and reporting. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements and Qualifications[]{#Hlk142289191}[]{#Hlk142304825}: Minimum of 2 years of crane operations experience in an industrial environment. Ability to operate a crane and other heavy, mobile equipment. Knowledge of rigging procedures and regulation. Ability to sit, stand, walk, for extended periods, and lift to 50lbs. Ability to operate a vehicle. Ability to climb on, into, and out of equipment. Ability to work outdoors at elevated heights, tolerate multiple terrain and environmental variations. Ability to communicate via radio. Excellent hand-eye coordination. Basic mechanical aptitude. Knowledge of appropriate safety procedures. Ability to read and write. High School diploma or equivalent.
