Roles and Responsibilities

  • Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.

  • Resolves issues using established procedures, improve or implement procedures.

  • Collaborates with others to solve issues. For stakeholders facing roles, develops strong stakeholder relationships.

  • Review and revise EHS documents.

  • Mapping and risk assessments.

  • Reporting and investigation of incidents and support stakeholders to implement corrective/preventive actions.

  • Represent EHS department to ensure legal compliance within the area of responsibility, support and advice stakeholders.

  • Represent EHS in projects.

  • Continuous improvement within EHS.

  • Ensure compliance wih the chemical regulations.

  • Support on chemical management program.

  • Relevant EHS systems

Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).

  • Technical education BSc/MSc Engineering, degree in health and safety or related field, and/or chemical process, production manufacture experience.

  • Good IT skill, especially Microsoft office applications and ability to understand new systems.

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Norwegian. Ability to document, plan organized, and execute/deliver EHS projects/programs.

  • Practical experience with chemical regulations, such as REACH or CLP.

  • Attention to critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability facilitate EHS related tasks, run trainings and presentations.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
