ABOUT THIS CAREER OPPORTUNITY
The Facility Operations Coordinator is located in Ottawa, Ontario and typically reports directly to the Operations Manager. The Facility Operations Coordinator will be responsible for the execution of operations and maintenance contracts for the Facility Management & Operations (FMO) division.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide coordination and tracking of subcontracted maintenance activities including reporting of any corrective repairs or deficiencies. Escorting of subcontractors onsite as required.
Assist with execution of subcontracted Additional Work Requests (AWRs) by performing job showings with approved subcontractors, managing RFQ process and award, coordination of awarded projects and tracking of project costs / billing.
Review, track, and submit project documentation including applicable H&S plans, shops drawings and site plans.
Track, analyze, and trend project costs.
Create and update work orders and purchase orders in CMMS system.
Communicate with client and other facility occupants to ensure customer satisfaction.
Participate in monthly operational meetings with clients.
Provide monthly client and internal management reports as per contract.
Manage contract operations regarding safety, productivity, communication, and efficiency to the standards of both Black & McDonald and the client.
Other administrative duties as required.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Post-secondary education or trade related experience is required.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 1-3 years' experience in the construction industry is an asset.
SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Motivated with the ability to work with strict timelines in a fast-paced team environment.
Bilingualism (French/English) required.
Able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
Knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Projects, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Must possess strong verbal, written, analytical, and persuasive skills and the ability to communicate and interact with all levels of customers, employees, and management.
Basic knowledge of building systems and their operation.
