Your Opportunity

Stantec Geomatics Ltd. is seeking an Ontario Land Surveyor (OLS), Project Manager to develop prospects in our Ottawa office. This position involves the supervision of a dedicated team of survey technologists and technicians and liaising with clients and team leads from other disciplines. The Project Manager will have full responsibility for each project’s success from initiation to close-out. This position will appeal to those individuals who enjoy a dynamic work environment where they can manage multifaceted projects.

Your Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of Project Management including:

  • Preparing proposals & cost estimates

  • Project research

  • Project computations

  • Field and office staff supervision

  • Plan review and signing plans

  • Reporting and timely delivery on final returns

  • Tracking costs, scope and deliverable timelines

  • Effective communication with senior management regarding project status

  • Meeting and exceeding all AOLS CPD requirements

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Excellent project management skills

  • Valid Driver’s License Experience with GPS and total station survey equipment

  • Experience with GPS, total station, LiDAR and UAV survey equipment

  • Experience with survey computational and least squares adjustment software (Trimble Business Centre and AutoCAD Civil 3D)

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly proficient in cadastral and engineering survey practices and methodologies, with a deep knowledge and understanding of survey equipment and software

  • Solid understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements

  • Eager to learn and develop professionally

  • Self motivated

Education and Experience

  • Licensed Ontario Land surveyor, with minimum 1 year licensed experienced
