A Civil Designer is needed for a leading global engineering, consulting and construction company in the Overland Park, KS area. This role involves assisting in the development of site drainage, grading, and utility plans using Autodesk Civil 3D, collaborating on engineering drawings, and converting field survey data into topographic survey drawings, while ensuring compliance with engineering standards and company quality programs.

responsibilities:

• Assist in developing site drainage, grading, and utility plans using Autodesk Civil 3D.

• Collaborate with team members to create site plans, detailed engineering drawings, profiles, and construction drawings.

• Convert field survey data into topographic survey drawings and surfaces for site plans and construction drawings.

• Apply intermediate knowledge of engineering standards, systems, and company procedures.

• Stay updated on industry knowledge and technology trends.

• Ensure deliverables comply with the company's quality program.

• Interpret the content of engineering deliverables as assigned.

• Understand basic construction and constructability practices and principles.

• Apply basic engineering design principles and relevant design guides related to the assigned engineering discipline.

Skills: Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, Autodesk AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.

Education and Experience:

• Diploma or Certificate preferred.

• Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.

• Minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
