Pay Range: \$61,900.00 - \$80,900.00 and determined based on relevant years of work experience.

Position Summary: Manage and optimize Johnson County Community College (JCCC) auditing activities. As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will play a crucial role in evaluating operational, financial, and IT processes. Responsibilities will include conducting internal audits, assessing compliance with regulations, identifying risks, and recommending process improvements. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Qualifications:
- Requires a bachelor\'s degree and at least 6+ years of audit experience.
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus.
- Experience in planning and conducting audits is preferred.

Position Details: Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Plan, perform, and document the results of compliance, internal control and operational audits, with recommended improvements.
- Identify risks and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Schedule and conduct meetings with management to define the scope and timeline of audits.
- Execute the audit process, including preparing process flows, conducting risk assessments, and developing audit programs. Identify key areas for testing.
- Draft test steps and procedures to test processes and controls.
- Identify control weaknesses, root causes, and instances of non-compliance with JCCC policies, laws, and regulations, and communicate these issues in a timely manner.
- Prepare comprehensive work papers presented in accordance with professional standards that support the reported conclusions.
- Assist with the preparation of detailed, objective, and accurate reports to properly document and support audit findings for management review.
- Ensure timely completion of audits.
- Monitor and validate management action plan status.
- Maintain privacy and confidentiality of audit areas, findings, and sensitive information.
- Perform consulting engagements and investigations as assigned.
