Duties & Responsibilities: Assist in safety incident investigations to help determine root cause and corrective actions. Attend Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA) discussions with cross functional groups and help determine appropriate actions. Develop world class new hire Health, Safety, and Environmental training. Conduct ergonomic assessments utilizing software and generally accepted National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) techniques.

Qualifications:
Enrolled at an accredited college or university majoring in an undergraduate Mechanical Engineering degree program.
Preference given to students located within 50 miles of the assigned Olin location. Must have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale at all times throughout your time at Olin. An official transcript will be required each term. Cumulative GPA on current institution transcript will be used in transfer college situations. Must have completed freshman year prior to first assignment with Olin. Ability to work full time (40 hours a week during normal business hours) August - December 2025. Not eligible for virtual work.
Preference will be given to candidates with availability and desire to work a minimum of three (3) terms with no more than one of those terms occurring over the summer. Experience in ammunition and firearms with knowledge of the shooting sports industry a plus. This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.
Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the requirement of a work/student visa.
