Corning’s Environmental Technologies segment manufactures ceramic substrates and filter products for emissions control in mobile and stationary applications around the world.

Scope of Position

Under the supervision of a systems engineer, the intern will work on projects to support the development of measurement and inspection systems applied to the Environmental Technologies processes. These projects may include building prototypes of camera systems, computer programming for image analysis, and statistical analysis on measurement system capability.

Requirements

• Enrolled in Undergraduate or Graduate Level Program in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Optics

• Background in computer programs like Halcon, Matrox Vision Library, AutoCad, MatLab, Labview, WiT, etc.

• Experience with structured text programming, like C#.

• Knowledge of instrumentation (e.g. sensors) and vision systems technologies is beneficial

• Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2025 (May-August 2025) with a graduation date of December 2025 or later

• Be interested in working for Corning, Inc after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity.

​The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
