Job Description:
The SAS1 Cost Planning department within the Space & Airborne Systems Segment of L3Harris is seeking an analyst to support sector leadership. This is a high visibility role that interacts directly with sector CFOs, sector FP&A, and other sector leaders. The analyst will work closely with sector finance, providing relevant sector-level reports, data, and insights to help them better understand business conditions. The analyst is also responsible for communicating overall condition of SAS1 rates to sector leadership. The SAS1 business unit crosses all sectors of SAS segment.
Essential Functions:
Prepare and deliver sector reports. Reporting topics include: sector budgets vs forecasts vs actuals; labor utilization; headcount trends; indirect non-labor expenses; discretionary; capital.
Assist sectors with information/data requests to help them better understand business conditions and identify improvement opportunities
Assist sectors with various cost-planning related requests (e.g., special projects, cost transfers, ICPs, etc)
Various ad hoc information requests and analyses
Drive process improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
Strong analytical ability, including ability to provide concise insightful observations
Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
Must be willing to regularly interface with sector leadership and establish strong buisness partnerships
Must be a self-starter with a continuous improvement mentality
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
2 - 6 years in the aerospace and government contracting industry with exhibited progression
Preferred Additional Skills:
FP&A with government contractor and/or program finance experience a plus
Advanced forecasting and consolidation skills
Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Experience with PeopleSoft and Hyperion Planning is a plus

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Rochester, NY is $53,000 - $98,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
