Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineering Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and mechanical systems on various equipment, including pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC systems. The technician will ensure that all preventative maintenance tasks are performed safely and efficiently, adhering to ISO/SQF standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, alter, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical systems on all equipment, including pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC systems as needed.
Safely perform all required preventative maintenance tasks within specified timelines on assigned equipment in the thermo department and building utilities/infrastructure.
Complete all tasks and required documentation in compliance with ISO/SQF standards.
Assist with additional tasks as needed to support team efforts and maintain operational efficiency.
Safely assist with mold changes when required.
Follow safety, food safety, GMP, and HACCP practices at all times.
Qualifications:
Minimum of seven years of combined electrical and mechanical experience with industrial machines and related production equipment.
Experience in providing leadership to maintenance technicians and guiding shifts.
Proficient in calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Strong emphasis on regaining machines to production status in a timely and effective manner.
Ability to assist the PM team on preventative maintenance and special projects.
Proficient in reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, hydraulic and electrical prints, and procedure manuals.
Knowledge of plant shutdown and startup procedures.
Working knowledge of electrical and hydraulic prints is preferred.
Capable of communicating effectively with tech support and parts procurement.
Functional knowledge of all aspects of maintenance and plant infrastructure, including chillers, dryers, pumps, and other vital equipment.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, climbing, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 35 lbs regularly.
Capable of working in awkward positions and at heights as needed.
Verbal communication skills adequate for using a radio and/or paging system.
Vision correctable to 20/40 or better, with peripheral vision of 70 degrees or greater.
Must be able to work around grease, oils, and solvents without adverse reactions.
Ability to work in a team environment and take control of machinery when necessary.
Must be flexible to work any shift and mandatory overtime as required.
