About the Role:

As Maintenance Technician B, you will repair and maintain machinery, buildings, and equipment across multiple trades in our state of art, climate-controlled fulfillment center. This role involves troubleshooting, fabricating, and maintaining systems while adhering to safety standards and using systematic approaches to tackle problems!

What You'll Do:

  • Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and resolve electrical, PLC, mechanical, and operational issues, including breakdowns. Use detailed troubleshooting methods to identify root causes and implement effective solutions. Install and maintain electrical components like conduit, wiring, controls, motors, and fixtures to improve efficiency and repair breakdowns.

  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, including lubricating equipment with appropriate oils and grease. Record findings in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and recommend corrective actions.

  • Operations & Calibration: Test and calibrate electrical, pneumatic, and HVAC controls with or without contractor assistance. Operate and troubleshoot label application equipment to ensure quality standards.

  • Documentation & Analysis: Use CMMS to track malfunctions, analyze trends, and justify equipment replacements. Document maintenance activities and share reliability concerns and solutions.

  • Training & Collaboration: Mentor junior technicians on CMMS usage and troubleshooting. Deliver training on new or sophisticated equipment operations. Collaborate with internal teams and contractors to address maintenance needs.

  • General Support: Assist with other duties as required to support the maintenance team.

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience & Expertise: 5-7 years of mechanical maintenance experience in carpentry, plumbing, conveyors, and sortation systems. At least 2 years of electrical/electronic experience, including PLC programming and automated systems. Knowledge of power transmission systems, metal fabrication, HVAC, and fire response equipment.

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; technical training or school preferred. Completion of Bennet’s Mechanical Aptitude test (min 50th percentile).

  • Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and using shop tools. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents. Strong communication skills and dedication to safety and improvement.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to crawl, bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and work at heights up to 50 feet. Stand for extended periods in varying temperatures. Distinguish between different wire colors.

Salary Range: $30.13-$32.13
