We are looking for a Emergency Response Coordinator (EHS Sr. Specialist I) to join our Agricultural Solutions team based in Palmyra, MO.

As an Emergency Response Coordinator, you will be instrumental in driving and improving the safety and emergency preparedness and response performance and culture at the Hannibal Site. As a member of the site EHS&S Team, you will be actively involved in providing technical expertise and support, regulatory and corporate requirements governance, and interaction with Operations personnel to ensure emergency response preparedness, regulatory compliance, readiness, and response.

As a Emergency Response Coordinator, you create chemistry by...

  • Overseeing and coordinating the planning and preparations for emergency response efforts including fires, hazardous material responses, severe weather events, confined space rescue, first aid, and other medical emergencies.

  • Coordinating training for responders and delivering training where appropriate and agreed upon by site leadership.

  • Managing an Emergency Response Team (ERT) comprised of 50+ emergency responders.

  • Ensuring readiness of emergency equipment, supplies, and vehicles.

  • Ensuring readiness of the emergency operations center, including training for participants.

  • Reviewing and updating site emergency plans, and reviewing unit plans for regulatory and corporate compliance and consistency.

  • Planning and executing site drills, and coordinating unit drills with unit contacts, interfacing with 3rd party responders as appropriate.

If you...

  • Possess a BS Degree in Occupational or Fire Safety, Fire System Engineering, Fire Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.

  • Have 5-10 years of leadership experience in overseeing an Industrial ERT.

  • Hold NFPA 1081 certifications in Exterior, Interior, and Leadership Industrial FF.

  • Hold NFPA 472 certifications in Hazardous Materials – Technician and Incident Command levels.

  • Have 40-Hour Medical First Responder or EMT-Basic Certification.

  • Possess Rescue I – 40-Hour High-angle and Confined Space Rope Rescue Certification, or the ability to obtain within 6 months.

  • Have OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER certification.

  • Possess proficient knowledge in fire protection systems and preparing pre-plans for the site and specific units/buildings.

  • Have knowledge of NFPA codes and standards, with the ability to provide supporting documentation.

  • Demonstrate the ability to manage rolling ER fleet and deliver cost-effective training solutions to the ERT.

  • Have experience working with outside agencies for site support.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of chain-of-command for proper communication across the company and shifts.

  • Have the capability to develop and plan multiple drills for the site, including internal ERT and external mutual aid.

  • Possess professional licensing as a Paramedic or EMT (a plus).

  • Have Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification (a plus).

  • Hold advanced degrees (Masters and above) in Occupational Safety, Fire Safety, or Fire Safety Engineering (a plus).

  • Are able to travel up to 10%, domestically.
