Robert Half Financial Coordinator in Palo Alto, California

Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Financial Coordinator in Palo Alto, California. In this role, you will be an integral part of our team, ensuring that our patients have maximum coverage and hospital reimbursement. You will be the point of contact between our organization and third-party payors, ensuring efficient and accurate financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between Patient Financial Services, hospital, third party payors, and contracting to ensure seamless financial operations.

• Assist with tracking and documenting admission authorizations for transplant patients undergoing evaluations, hospitalizations, and outpatient procedures.

• Ensure availability and documentation of insurance coverage for aftercare.

• Initiate registration in relevant systems as necessary and maintain patient financial records.

• Meet with prospective patients and their families to clarify insurance benefits, assist with application processes, and help obtain other coverage.

• Attend weekly financial clearance meetings with the transplant program team.

• Develop and maintain detail oriented relationships with insurance carriers and review managers to expedite authorizations.

• Adhere to policies and procedures related to financial clearance issues set forth by the senior transplant financial coordinator and director of the program.

• Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of departmental operations improvement.

• Maintain filing systems for Transplant financial charts. Requirements • Possession of excellent Customer Service skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and respond to client needs.

• Proficiency in Documentation, with an emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.

• Demonstrable experience in Operations and Planning, ensuring seamless workflow and task completion.

• Understanding and adherence to established Procedures and Policy, maintaining consistency in job execution.

• Capability to Review and analyze financial data, contributing to informed decision making.

• Familiarity with the 'About Time' software, enhancing time management and scheduling efficiency.

• Knowledge of Medical Coverage and Benefit Functions, facilitating accurate calculation and distribution of benefits.

• Ability to Perform Ad Hoc Financial tasks, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

• Experience with Implementation of financial plans and strategies, driving business growth.

• Proven skills as a Liaison, bridging communication between different departments or organizations.

• Adherence to best financial Practices, promoting efficiency and regulatory compliance.

• Experience with Receipt management, ensuring accurate recording and tracking of transactions.

• Ability to Execute financial plans and strategies, contributing to the achievement of company objectives.

• Strict observance of Confidentiality, maintaining the privacy and security of sensitive financial information.

• Proficiency in creating Charts and Graphs, facilitating visual representation of financial data.

• Experience with Scanning Documents, ensuring safe digital storage of paperwork.

• Familiarity with various Operating Systems, facilitating efficient use of company software and tools.

• Understanding of Authorizations in a financial context, ensuring legal and compliant transactions.

• Knowledge of File System management, promoting organized document storage and retrieval.

• Understanding of financial Frameworks, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.

• Experience with handling Reimbursements, ensuring accurate and timely compensation.
