JPMorgan Chase UX Motion Designer in Palo Alto, California

Join our innovative, design-led transformation team and help us reimagine the customer and marketer experiences.

We are looking for a talented UX Motion Designer to join our exciting team and create visible and impactful change! This will be a role in which you will get to exercise your motion graphics and user experience design skills to bring delight to user interactions. You will start by using Design Thinking methodology to develop empathy for the product's users. You will work closely with local and global teams to deliver high quality, end-to-end designs in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Bring digital products to life by adding animation to micro-interactions to provide users an easy and delightful experience

  • Produce motion designs, patterns, and guidelines for design systems, communications (internal and external), and executive presentations

  • Translate complex information into engaging visual assets, including animations, storyboards, journey maps, marketing collaterals, illustrations, etc.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, product management, marketing, engineering, research, subject matter experts, legal, and executive leadership)

  • Partner with developers to translate micro-animations into code

  • Iterate designs based on feedback from users, stakeholders, and analytics

  • Share knowledge and educate the team and the organization about our design process and best practices

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • An online portfolio or samples of work , demonstrating motion design skills including micro-interactions on design components

  • 2+ years of work experience in the design field

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Motion Graphics, Animation, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Visual Design, Service Design, or related fields

  • Ability to communicate abstract design concepts visually and verbally in a clear and engaging manner

  • Proficiency in motion graphics and visual/product design software, especially Adobe Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator), and Figma

  • Experience working across multiple platforms (e.g., digital products, motion graphics, websites, mobile apps, prints, etc.)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Experience with working with developers to translate animations into code and/or using Lottie

  • Technical knowledge on HTML, CSS, JavaScript

  • Experience with UX and product design process

  • Familiarity with Design Thinking methodology and (workshop) facilitation

  • Experience with creating illustrations for product iconography

  • Familiarity with financial terminologies

  • Familiarity with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Standards for Accessible Design

The final officer title and job grade is at the discretion of the firm and will be discussed at the time of offer. It may be different than what is listed on the requisition based on candidate experience level.
