The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a System Engineer to assist the Aegis Test Team in the integration, test, and maintenance of the Aegis Weapon system on US Navy Destroyers, with an emphasis on the system development, network, operating environment, and cyber capabilities of the Aegis Weapon System on DDG 51 FLIGHTIII class ships under construction at Huntington Ingalls Shipyard.
Responsibilities:
Develop, install, verify, and track Software Changes (SWCs) on the AWS system approved by the Ship Test Change Review Board (STCRB).
Assist with AWS software installations
Troubleshoot, resolve, and document emergent Aegis Computing Infrastructure (ACI) issues impacting system operability during test events.
Create, track, and maintain user accounts on the Aegis Weapon System.
Assist with AWS infrastructure and network testing.
Ensure AWS IA compliance, conduct system audits, and perform cyber-related maintenance procedures.
Develop data and log analysis tools to support system troubleshooting efforts.
Support the Computer Program Engineering Manager (CPEM) to track and maintain combat systems configuration.
Assist with Pulse Current Injection testing and other test team responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
Ability to work in a shipyard industrial environment. i.e. lifting and carrying up to 15lbs
Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
Familiarity with networking, Linux systems, and virtualization technologies.
Familiarity with Python, Java, C++, and SQL.
Strong analytical skills.
Strong technical writing and oral communication skills.
Position may entail shift work, overtime, holiday, and weekend hours. Participation may also be required for ship’s sea trials and travel to support active US Navy vessels.
Desired:
3+ years of experience with Python or Java
3+ years of relevant system engineering experience
Active Secret Clearance

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$47,400 - $94,900
